About Kara's Foundation for HoPE

Kara's Hope maintains a threefold mission. One aspect of our organization is focused on assisting and supporting families who have children diagnosed with Holoprosencephaly (HPE). Our goal is to offer supplemental support for expenses not covered by traditional medical insurance programs. Our heart is to help other families by providing funds for additional diagnostic procedures like 3D Ultrasounds, to provide financial assistance with un-reimbursed travel expenses, specialized baby furniture or equipment and any other equipment needs which will allow families to care for these special babies. We are eternally grateful for the help that we received with our daughter, and we want to make sure others feel and can provide the same comfort and care that their little ones deserve.

Kara's Hope is also committed to the concept illustrated by the saying "give someone a fish and you feed them for the day, teach them to fish and you feed them for a lifetime." Our relationships with experienced financial advisors have given us a focus on assisting families in need with the formation of special needs trusts for the ongoing benefit of their children and families. By referring families through a network of licensed professionals, we have the capability to assist in the creation of "lifetime income" for their children. Kara's Hope is committed to creating a sustainable income for families in need, in order for them to be able to provide for their special needs child's ongoing care.

An additional purpose is to help develop a greater awareness of Holoprosencephaly success stories among the public and the medical community. All proceeds from donations go towards the continued operation of Kara's HoPE to help achieve its mission. While we can't be all things to all families, our desire is to be a resource and a help whenever we can. By partnering with other organizations, we can help families find assistance in their own hometown, and where appropriate, we will offer our financial resources to families in need.

Kara's Hope is committed to helping children in need and our desire is to help improve their circumstances whenever we are able.
